Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Three bedroom cottage in the extraordinary limestone landscape area of the Burren geopark in County Clare, in the west of Ireland. The house is cosy, with a wood-burning stove, electric heating, a garden with grass and a patio for dining outdoors. It has three double bedrooms (one with an en-suite shower room), a living room, a small kitchen and a second mezzanine living room. There is plenty of room for kids to play and there is no traffic. We have a barbecue and a hammock if you like the outdoors. There are views of the surrounding hills on all sides. The house is one of a group of 9 similar houses built in the early 2000's. We use it as a holiday home and for weekends away. It's close to the hills and the sea, with great walking, cycling, fishing, archaeology, caves, restaurants and pubs close by. You can explore the rich flora of the Burren where alpine, arctic and mediterranean plants live side by side, or walk the green roads (old tracks) and enjoy the culture and heritage of County Clare with Irish music; you can visit the Aran Islands, the famous Cliffs of Moher, the city of Galway and the mountains of Connemara.
