We are a musical, sporty family with 3 kids - 14, 13 and 11 years old - and our dog Sammy a golden labrador retriever (ish). We're big fans of traditional Irish music and play all the native Irish sports - hurling, football, handball - as well as athletics, rugby and some cycling. Sammy likes to travel too, so she can go on holidays too if you don't fancy feeding/walking etc.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Nenagh is Ireland's friendliest town and is full of great bars and cafes. It is a 5 minute walk from our house to the town centre. The town itself is more than 800 years old and is home to Nenagh Castle and Nenagh Gaol, both of which you can visit free of charge. There is a new public leisure centre with pool and gym alongside the town park which has a public playground, roller park and park walk. The beautiful Lough Derg on the River Shannon is less than 10km away and the nearby M7 motorway allows access to many of the famous irish tourism attractions such as the Cliffs of Moher, Rock of Cashel, Clonmacnoise and many more.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
5 minutes walk to town centre - cafes, bars, shops etc. 10 mins drive to Lough Derg where there are numerous scenic villages with some great eateries. 30 mins to Limerick City, 30 mins to Thurles and Semple Stadium, 60 mins to the Rock of Cashel and Holycross Abbey. 50 mins to Clonmacnoise and Lough Boora Bog. 2 hours will take you to the West Coast of Clare and the Cliffs of Moher/Loop Head lighthouse.

Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
We have a lovely new home (moved in April 2018) so it's still in good nick and we just ask that you treat it the way you would your own home! We have a dog (Sammy) but she only goes in the boot room and no further - she will not be home when we are not there. Pets are welcome, but only in the boot room. There is a large back garden and a electric collar system if required.
