Our Home For Exchange

Description of the home we are offering for exchange

Our house is a bright four bedroom mid terrace house, sleeps 5/6 people. The downstairs is open plan - It has all mod cons - washing machine and dryer, fully equipped kitchen, wifi, cable TV and small private rear garden. It's a very sought after residential area, close to shops and convenient to City Centre (22 minutes walk). The house has ample parking right outside the door. The bus stop is a 7 minute walk from the house and only a five minute walk to our nearest shop.
The house is a substantial three storey property adjacent to a teaching college & Theatre. It is spacious and well laid out. Downstairs it comprises an entrance hallway, living room, kitchen/dining room, utility room. Upstairs it has three bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor and a further bedroom with ensuite on the second floor.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area

We live in a very sought after residential area. The house is situated in a quiet cul-de sac. It is within walking distance of the city centre (20 minutes). Close to shops (fashion quarter), third level college, good restaurants, cafes, theatres and museums. The nearest bus stop is 7 minutes walk and it takes 22 minutes walk to the train station giving connections to destinations further afield (Dublin, Cork, Kerry and Galway). Limerick is well connected to all major cities in Ireland with Motorways to Galway and Dublin. Shannon airport is just 27Km from the house.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home

The sports mad City can proudly lay claim to "Thomond Park", The scene of many a historic Munster Rugby battle. A short stroll from Thomond Park brings you to King Johns Castle. Here you can experience 800 years of history and enjoy the terrific views onto the River Shannon. A fun day for both young and old alike. A visit to Adare is a must. Adare Village is situated just outside Limerick City and is renowned as one of Irelands prettiest Villages. Adare is a designated heritage town. Golfing enthusiasts will enjoy a round of golf in Adare Manor & afternoon tea. One of the highlights of your visit will be a day trip to Bunratty Castle and folk Park. Here you can experience traditional village life in the 19th century Ireland and dine in medival style in the Great Banquet Hall. The village of Killaloe lies on the banks of the river Shannon, allowing access to hillwalking, boating and other water sports. Killaloe is only 30 minutes away from the house. These are only a sample of the attractions in and around Limerick city. If you want to go further a field you could visit the famous Burren and take in its breathtaking landscape, go surfing in Lahinch, or marvel at the cliffs of Moher- all within one hours drive from Limerick. Further south will take you to Kerry. Here you can take in the majestic views of our beautiful mountains & lakes.
