Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Hello, our apartment is 83qm2, with one masters bedroom (king size bed) and one child room with a one-man bed. In the living room is a sleeping couch with space for two. The kitchen is an open space connected with the living room. We live on the 3rd floor in an apartment building. On the balcony is a hammock. You are located in a small town about 20 minutes drive from the capital, Reykjavik. The apartment has a beautiful view on the mountains and lies close by the sea. Shops are in foot walking distance, and walking paths in the nature are right by the house.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
Close by our house is a geothermal outdoor pool. Icelanders are visiting the pools all year round, the water is well heated and it’s always fun for children. There is another bigger outdoor pool in Mosfellsbæ- for that you need to take the bus or have a car (5 minutes drive). You can go for long walks - either along
the shore or a towards the mountains. There are little forests and great playgrounds for kids nearby.
In Reykjavik (20 minutes drive), you can do many things, like visiting the museums, harbour, do a shopping tour downtown, go pub crawling, visit the beaches. Do day tours to the most beautiful sights of Iceland: Golden Circle with Geysir and Gullfoss waterfall, Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, Vík black sand beach, Snæfellsnes peninsula, Reykjanes peninsula with the new volcano.
Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
We hope that you are enjoying your stay in our apartment. Please take care of everything in a respectful manner. No smocking, no parties in the house allowed. Pets not allowed either. Iceland has very strict rules for pets coming to the country (2 month quarantine are mandatory). We have quite a lot of plants, and we would be grateful if you could water them while you are staying.
