Our son and daughter are grown up, so there are just the two of us.
Irene owns an art gallery for 33 years in Maastricht www.japonais.nl and Antoine has been working as an art teacher in an international school, and has now his own studios for painting and sculpture.

We are returning Home-Link members. . During the last twenty years, we've visting Canada (2x), Australia, Mexico (2x) , Florida, New Mexico's "Santa-Fé", and wonderful Arizona and Las Vegas.
We also did exchanges in Europe and in our own country.
This way of travel is for us the best way to explore the world. Noticing to be considered as a local instead of a tourist whilst living in your exchange house feels really good. Moreover, we encounter very nice, helpful and interesting people.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange

Love our home, love to travel and always looking for winter sun.

Our house (1928) in Maastricht (South of the Netherlands) is very comfortable with a Japanese touch.
Relax in our big back yard and lovely terrace. The historic town center is in a short distance,but behind our house you will experience a rural life.
Maastricht, take on You Tube "Maastricht visit : http://youtu.be/pSSHyFRjuhY" , was founded in the early Roman times. It has a charming atmosphere, many historical sites, museums ,shops, galleries, restaurants etc.,and beautiful surroundings. From this town many interesting cities are within reach, Brussels/Antwerp and Brugge in Belgium ( 1 hour by car ) , Liège/Aachen in Germany (20 minutes by car), Amsterdam in the Netherlands (2.5 hour by train), Düsseldorf/ Cologne in Germany (1 hour by car).

We will take care of your house as it is our own house,and would like to find our house clean and tidy when we return.

We have a small orchard with 3 sheep / chicken and 1 peacock. This does not require much work, only in the morning their grain and ensure that their water containers are full. On the other hand, they reward you with delicious fresh eggs.

Unfortunately our home is not suitable for families with young children.
