We really love our home. It's the place where we first moved in together and the place where our kids are growing up. Luckily, we share the same taste: lots of wood and furniture that has a heart (Maartje has quite the designer chair obsession). Our place is quite spacious, with two floors and lots of storage room. It's an old house, with lots of lovely details, weird corners and a wooden floor.

Of course, since we're both writers, it's filled with books. But there's also a long wooden table where we eat and share stories, a cozy balcony on the south where you can read in the sun (we have lots of light on both sides), a very comfortable shower and a nice bed with a great mattress and dito sheets where you can get your well-deserved rest at the end of the day. You can make yourself a perfect filter coffee with our Moccamaster or cook an extravagant meal with our cast iron pans and stuff the leftovers in the large freezer.

Since we also love film (Rutger works as a screenwriter) we have a nice home cinema with a fold-out screen, projector with HDMI connection and a great sound set (also nice for some morning music). And of course there's everything you need for children (ours are aged 1 and 3). Lots of Paw Patrol toys, at the moment. Or they can play our piano - which has a volume button!
