My partner, Kyra, and myself are a retired couple, that loves traveling abroad and getting in contact with people of different backgrounds and cultures.
During many years in the past we've practiced that via Servas, an international peace movement.
First of all we are nature lovers, but also feel attracted by big cities because of our interest in architecture and the cultural possibilities they offer (art, theater, music).
Our favorite travel destinations are the USA, Costa Rica, Mexico, Thailand and southern Europe (Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece).
We love walking, biking (our country's national pastime), reading, music (all kinds of, from classical to world and pop music), visiting museums and spending time with friends.
We are interested in politics, art, literature, sports (especially me), environment and sustainability
Formerly we did a lot of backpacking, but being well over sixty now, we feel ourselves entitled to a more comfortable way of traveling. Home exchange appears to be just the thing we're looking for.
While staying at your place, we will take care of it as if it was our own, no worries.
We're offering a spacious 1 bedroom apartment near the center of Amsterdam with all the sights and amenities at either walking distance or easily accessible by bike (provided) or public transport.
