Bredevoort is now a part of Aalten but is in fact a small medival city and a stronghold. Now it is famous for the little bookshops. Almost every street has some bookshops.
Groenlo is also a medieval stronghold with fortifications and a defensive moat.
In Aalten are some fine restaurants, all on walking distance. For latest information check Google, due to Covid there might be some changes.
