Our village is a typical Bavarian village with a church with the typically onion-shaped dome, cow farms, surrounded by lush meadows. It has become a tourist attraction especially for bikers wanting to see the large population of storks the nests of which can be seen on almost every roof.
I could name you numerous biking and hiking tours starting directly from home. For example along the river Ammer direction south with the stunning view of the chain of the Alps. You could hike around the monastery Andechs, famous for its unique location on the "holy mountain" and for its excellent beers, is only a 15 minutes car ride from here. Or have a swim in lake Ammersee, only 20 minutes by bike. The famous "bathtub" of Munich, lake Starnberger See is only a 20 minutes car ride from here. It is the lake where the famous empress of Austria Sissi spent her youth and the legendary fairy-tale king Ludwig II was found drownd. His famous castle Neuschwanstein can be reached by car in one hour.
Garmisch, the most famous skiing and hiking resort of Germany with the highest mountain of Germany, the Zugspitze is also just a one hour car ride from here. Or would you like to vistit the picturesque village of Oberammergau, where they will stage the world famous passion play in 2022? - Only 50 minutes by car.
And last but not least: our Bavarian capital, Munich, which offers everything from shopping, museums, castles, parks ...
