Our Home For Exchange

Description of the home we are offering for exchange

Newly built family home in a small village. Wooden home, bulit of natural and biological materials. We are a family of 5 and the house radiates the playfulness of our three sons (age 7,4,1). Theres a backyard and garden with a treehouse, our homegrwon vegetables, a terrace viewing old trees. We have 3 childrens rooms, a master bedroom, a homeoffice, a huge livingroom with integrated kitchen, a sunlighted bathroom. Our house is well-equipped and you are welcome to just feel at home!
We live in a small village named Ottersberg, a 30 minute drive to Bremen, 50 minutes to hamburg, 60 minutes to the North Sea. Our village has a trainstation, a 6-minute bikeride from our home. We live in a quiet street with old trees, in 3-Minute walking distance to a nature reserve ("Wümme-Wiesen") along a river for swimming or canoeing. There are beautiful village in biking distance, like Fischerhude (home of the artist Otto Modersohn). Ottersberg has a Waldorf-School and draws many families.
Our village has several playgrounds, an ice-cream place (Yummy) a biological food store, a library, doctors, supermarkets, bakerys. We live in a neighbourhood with many other families with young kids. You can use our 5 bicycles to get around the village - like all the other Ottersbergers.

Neighbourhood

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area

We live in a very family friendly neighbourhood. There is a playground around the corner. Our kids love biking into the nature reserve, the "Wümme Wiesen", a great place for walking, fishing, canoeing, building dams in the two rivers, discovering the woods. The Waldorf-Kindergarden is down the street and the Waldorf-School is a 5-minute Bike trip. Both are great places to play and meet other families. There is a small biological foodstore in walking distance, where you find farmers produces. The whole village is great for kids. Since we have a train station, you can take the train to get to Bremen (15 minutes by train) or Hamburg (50 minutes). Both great cities to discover.
