We are both self-employed. Bruno is an engineer and finally retired at the age of 69. Kerstin is active in the professional life with the psychological practice, which is also in the house. We have grown up children and grandchildren. Our daily companion is our dog Molly. A soul of dog that keeps us on our toes. During an exchange the dog will stay with my daughter. A year ago we built this house and we wanted to live in a quiete area and rurality. In the past, we've had exchanges over Homelink with New Zealand, Canada, England and France. We want to continue this beautiful experience after a 2-year break.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Welcome to Hamelin!
Main attractions are Hamelin´s historic town center with its numerous houses built in the Weser Renaissance style, the open-air-play of the Pied Piper´s legend and the musical "RATS" on the terrace of the "Hochzeitshaus".
Amongst Cinderella and the Lying Baron of Münchhausen this is the home of the darkest fellow from the German Fairy-tale Route – the Pied Piper.
More than a million day tourists are drawn to Hamelin each year. One of the reasons being the strange Piper, but no less the magnificent old town of Hamelin.
Within the beautiful Weser Mountains Region Hamelin is starting point for many delightful strolls, walk- and bike tours or trips by riverboat. Numerous leisure time activities for water enthusiastic, culturally interested or sport loving people are enriching a stay in Hamelin. There are also interesting towns nearby, for example Hannover, Hildesheim, Wolfsburg and much more.
