I am 54 and single. I am a translator. I will be travelling with a friend Catherine who is a teacher and my goddaughter Perrine and her boyfriend Mael who have just completed their medical studies and will be finishing a trip around the world.
I have already exchanged my house via Homelink (Colorado, Germany and Ireland) so I know the system and enjoy it. But due to a career change I had to stop exchanges. My last exchange was in 2003 so it is not in the records.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
My house is a renovated house built in the 1930's, in a charming village of thatched cottages close to the sea (several beaches within 1 km).
Come and enjoy the seaside and peacefulness in Brittany, a French region famous for its typical celtic culture and varied cultural offer (many folk festivals, trail of Gauguin and the Pont-Aven School of painting, ...) .
You can access several beaches easily on foot or by bicycle.
Névez is a small town close to the historic cities of Pont-Aven (where the painter Gauguin stayed and developped his famous style), Concarneau (famous for its medieval Ville-Close), and the Glenan islands.
There are fishing harbors nearby, like the small harbor of Trévignon, where you can buy the daily catch and seafood.
The area is also famous for its oysters, called Belons (named from the river Belon where they are farmed).
We will be 4 people: my goddaughter Perrine and her boyfriend Mael will be ending a trip round the world and I will meet them with a friend, once they have finished visiting California and Oregon. We would like an exchange of 2 weeks minimum and up to 1 month.
If you prefer a non simultaneaous exchange and would rather come in the summer: I can let you use the main house and I would live in the extension during your stay, (wood siding part on the right on the picture of the listing). The 2 parts are independent. In the main house, there are 2 bedrooms (4 people) and 1 bathroom upstairs, and on the ground floor, a kitchen and a living-room + the toilets. In the extension, there is a bathroom and a bedroom upstairs and a kitchen & living-room on the ground floor
We are close to Normandy too (DDay landing beaches: 4 hour drive; Mont Saint Michel: 3 hour drive ), the Loire Valley and its castles (4 hour drive) and to the British Channel Island (3 hour drive to Saint-Malo Harbour + 1 or 2 hours by ferry) or Paris (4 hour by train)

Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
It is important for us to find our house neat and tidy when we get back.
I have a cat, Minipix, with whom you will have to share the house in case of simultaneous exchange. I would appreciate if you feed her and take care of her, but I can make arrangements with a friend to do it during all your stay, or just when you go away to visit places.
