The house is deceptively large, very comfortable and charming, with a sunny garden. We loved the comfy beds, the big country kitchen and open fires. It was a great base to explore the absolutely gorgeous coastline to the west of Dinard, as well as popular tourist destinations including Dinan, Dinard, St Malo and Le Mont St Michel.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our traditional french house, L'Ancienne Epicerie is situated just 5 mins from Dinan in a quiet rural hamlet called Le Mezeray ( Close to St Solen and St Helen). The coast, rivers and towns of this area of north Brittany are particularly beautiful and Dinan's geographical setting on the hillside, overlooking the river Rance is exceptional.
L'Ancienne Epicerie is easily accessible from the port of St Malo and Dinard airport. It has easy access (less than 30 minutes) to the beautiful Brittany coast and its beach resorts around dramatic Cap Frehel, sophisticated Dinard and atmospheric fishing ports such as Cancale.
Nearby Dinan is perhaps one of the prettiest medieval walled cities in France with its 15th-century half-timbered buildings and cobbled streets. Historical attractions include the Chateau, beautiful gothic churches, and traditional shops and restaurants. The area is great for riverside walking and cycling as well as access to the forest.
The regional city of Rennes is only 40 minutes away.
Our home offers three double bedrooms (1 en-suite) a family bathroom, downstairs WC, two reception rooms with cosy log burners, and a good size dining area and kitchen to entertain the family.
The rooms were all refurbished in 2012 and the house is decorated in a light and airy "shabby chic" style. An enclosed and peaceful rear garden gives space for relaxation.
Please note that for the comfort of visitors we are a pet free and smoke free house.
