Description of the home we are offering for exchange
A large detached stone farmhouse with uninterrupted views over fields and forests. The house is refurbished yet retains many original features. Extensive gardens with lawns, trees and shrubs. Large pool ( open May to October). The gardens and pool are shared with our cottage which is currently on a long term let. Gas central heating, log fires. A large covered veranda for summer meals. A large dining room and lounge for cooler days. As the location is rural a car is essential. One bedroom is an owner’s room not accessible to guests but there remain two double bedrooms, one ensuite, an elegant family bathroom and a downstairs wet room. You can see more photos and a short film on our website, www.Yourfrenchretreat.com.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
The house sits in its own grounds in a rural and peaceful hamlet. It is ideal for walking, cycling and horse riding. It is on the edge of wine growing area (Gaillac wine) and in the summer many vineyards hold tastings and music events. It is also on the edge of the Grésigne forest which has numerous footpaths. The area is renowned for its wildflowers ( we have several species of orchids in the garden), birdlife and wild life including deer. The sky is unpolluted by light and offers excellent stargazing. The surrounding countryside comprises vineyards, pasture and is dotted with medieval hill- top villages.
