We are Shealagh and Paul, semi retired and have been living in France for the last 16 years. We used to have our own business in the UK but sold up 25 years ago to start some new adventures one of which was to sail our yacht across the atlantic to Antigua. We eventually ended up here in France, fell in love with the country and decided to settle here. We now take care of Properties of Englsh owners, gardening and bed and breakfast during the summer months so are free to travel during the late autumn to early spring. We have done four home exchanges in Australia as we have family living there but as the grand children have left to do their own thing we would like to come back to the Uk for a short time to spend time with our family there..We have family in London and South Wales. We are looking for a simultaneous exchange with a like minded couple who would like a change of scenery for the winter months and enjoy "la vie en France" whilst we enjoy Welsh/English country pubs again and being able to see family and to see if MAYBE we would like to return to the Uk again to live. Home exchange would give us the chance to see if this is really what we want to do.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
We a modern style villa with 3 bedrooms set in the heart of the countryside with panoramic views from the front terrace. It is a great place to just unwind, go walking, cycling, or if you enjoy skiing we are only four and half hours drive away from the alps with some of the largest ski domains in Europe. There are plenty of interesting places to visit within an hours drive, with some of the
best well know vineyards of Chablis, sancerre, Pouilly Fume, etc..
All our bedrooms are doubles, 2 en suite and with English Tv and a family bathroom. The lounge has a dining area, large patio doors to enjoy the views and french doors leading to the back garden. There is a cozy log fire that heats the whole house through hot air ducting during the winter. There is English satalite tv, dvd player and internet connection. The kitchen/diner is open to the lounge and has all the normal mod cons you would expect. We do have two cats that are affectionate and that loves cuddles and three chickens giving lovely free range eggs so someone that loves animals would be great. We do have great neighbors that are happy to take care of them if you wanted to go away for a break exploring this area.

Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
We would like to do a home exchange from 4 weeks to a maximum of 3 months. Our family in Brisbane would like us to do a dog sit from the middle of December 2018 to middle of January 2018 so 4 weeks or more either side of these dates would be suitable for us. We can do a non sinultaneous exchange if you prefer but we would like to come anytime between November and March.
Although we are not house proud we would like our house left in a clean and tidy condition and as it was when you arrived, this is something I am very particular about when I stay in someones elses home as I would like you to come back and find your home as you left it. My animals are very important to me so someone that will care for them and give them attention would be great, I am not asking you to be tied to the property as we have good neighbours that will take care of them if you wanted to explore further afield or go skiing. We have a small car that we can leave for your use. We have a log fire for heating in the winter and we will supply logs for your use. We do have electric heating as well.
