Our Home For Exchange

Description of the home we are offering for exchange

We have a large family home, big salon with large TV (UK and French TV + DVD), large kitchen, dinning room and a separate TV room. There are four bedrooms, two bathrooms and two separate toilets. The garden is spacious (2600m2) with two terraces, ideal for an evening drink or a BBQ.
Children will have lots of room to play outside. At the bottom of the garden is a gate which leads to a tennis court where they can play tennis, basketball or football.
The house is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty (EU Natura 2000); the tranquility is remarkable, yet it is only 10 minutes from Lorient.
Nearby you will find some excellent public foot paths and hiking routes. Some of the most beautiful beaches in the region are 15 minutes away by car.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home

Bretagne is a very rich region, and is an ideal holiday destination for all. Whether you are interested in water sports, hiking, culture or simply relaxing in the breton sun there is something for everyone.
Things not to miss, Pont Scorff with it's art galleries. The WW11 sub-marine base in Lorient and the Eric Tabarly centre. There are daily boat trips to the Island of Groix, and of course there is the famous early August Interceltic Festival in Lorient, where you can soak up the celtic culture of our region, with it's food, music and dances.
There are many beaches to spend the day nearby where you can surf, sail, swim, relax.
If you are keen walkers, the are fabulous hikes that you can do following the clearly marked footpaths.

There are countless attractions to visit in our departement and in our neighbouring departments of Finistère, Cotes d'amour and Ill et Vilaine. https://www.brittanytourism.com

If you want to travel and explore other regions of France, Normandy and it's historic beaches is three hours by car.
Paris is 3 hours by train, which leave every hour from the station in Lorient.

For our exchange guests we have a welcome pack detailing how things work in the house and plenty of attractions to see and a list of local restaurants, shops and markets.

Our Preferences

Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules

We are non smoking, clean and tidy, with well behaved children. We are looking for a direct swap - like for like (no holiday homes or two families sharing a holiday at our place) We will respect your house and belongings and are looking for a family who will do the same for us. There are four of us travelling, two adults and two children. We have exchanged four times (twice with another platform) and it was a great experience for all. (references are available for all exchanges)
