Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
The Marais is an area that visitors love. In the heart of the city, it has many small streets and shops, so many cultural activities. The Pompidou Center is 20 minutes walk, the Louvre about 30 minutes, the Seine River 10 minutes. Place des Voges, one of the most beautiful squares in the city, is 5 minutes walk. 13 cinema screens within 5 minutes, and also Opera Bastille. Two typical street markets for food - one 6 days a week, and

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
You are in the middle of everything...and Paris needs no introduction. Its a fairly international area of the city, so even if you dont speak French, you'll get by. Its also pretty safe. There is everything you would expect in a Paris neighbourhood - nice historical buildings, small shops (especially for food). No T-shirt or Eiffel Tower sellers!

Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
We really want someone who is quiet, looks after the house, and who is communicative. We can help sort out any small problems at a distance, and have relatives who can help, but it would be useful to have someone who is used to living in an old condomium - so respects neighbours, building rules (say about when rubbish is to be put out), and is tidy. We will do exactly the same for them.
