After moving to France one year ago, I thought I'd had time to do some painting, read books, play the piano, cycle and all sorts of things letting the time pass by in a pleasant way...
However, there was this raw garden, the house itself with still many things to do as well as finding my way into the habits and rules of my area, finding a french vet, finding a doc for myself too, getting a french telephone number and last but not least handle a very lively curious puppy.
So no cycling, kayaking, reading etc, instead early bedtimes.
BUT... now i'm a little settled, I would like to do what i love, exploring other countries, getting to know the people and their way of life. Homelink might be the door to venture that again.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
a detached house with a big garden and a lovely linden tree to spend you some shadow.
There are plenty of chairs and parasols to use and you can place them wherever you like.
Inside is not very light but therefore nice and cool in summer.
Upstairs are two bedrooms; the biggest one has a pull out bed, still new, with the best mattresses suited for this bed but not very high so if you have trouble with the joints it might not be convenient. The single bed however is much higher.
There is a foldbed (4th bed) as well for a younger child if needed,
The most important rule in the house is handling the "sceptic tanc". So it is not allowed for example to flush grease through the sink.
In the living room is a woodstove for colder evenings, there is plenty of wood in the stable and if you need some exercise, be welcome to cut some more :)
I have no WiFi because it is bad in the area but i would give you addresses of cafes who have. I personally use hotspot with my iphone if i want to use the computerto use the internet. That functions very well.
The kitchen has an inductionstove with two plates and is quite small so for passionate cooks it might not be the thing.
Notice; as the kitchen is very small there was no room for a dishwasher,

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
The house stands in the middle of the agricultural landscape of Brionnais in the south of Burgond with the typical white cows of the Charolais
breed.
The village (St.Christoph en Brionnais) is two and a half km. away (very nice walk) where there is a bakery, post office, butcher, kiosk, pharmacy and various restaurants but which are open sporadically.
On Wednesdays, the largest cattle market in the area takes place here.
There is an extensive hiking and cycling network and you can hike in four directions right from my doorstep.
For flea market lovers, during summer, there is a large amount of markets and places to find some treasures.
Larger towns such as Marcigny, La Clayette or Paray le Monial can all be reached in about 15 minutes by car.
There are lively markets once a week, cafes and restaurants.
The Loire is close by for canoeing or fishing but swimming is not allowed because of the currents.
Many villages have old Romanesque churches.
Lyon with its gourmet restaurants, two rivers floating through and ist museums is about 120 km away, Vichy about 80km.
I will make a list of restaurants and other information for the guest.
