Our Home For Exchange
Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our home is a two-floor 1937 craftsman house with nice woodwork and great furnishings. It has a wonderful secure back garden with hot tub, and an attached solarium so you can tan in the winter. It is a compact house but great layout. The main bedroom upstairs is quite big and has a half bath. The main floor bedrooms are smaller, one of them is usually used as the TV room. There is another bedroom in the finished basement. The main bathroom is newly remodeled.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
We have a family house on a residential street, within 20 minutes walk of the University of Washington and 5 minutes to shops and pubs. There are many families with small children, and an elementary school 2 blocks away. The street is quiet, with free parking always available, and reasonably secure.
Transport: You don't need a car to live here in Seattle. There is express bus to downtown every morning and evening, right a the end of the block 200m away. There is light rail to airport. UBER and LYFT have many cars in area. Big bus terminal area very close to the university. You can walk to the University or to the UW Medical Center or Childrens Hospital.

It is a 10-minute walk / 2min drive to a big shopping mall with huge supermarket with huge deli with dinners to go. Nice park walks nearby. Large lakeside Magnuson Park with off-leash dog area, tennis, biking sailing pub is 6 mins away. 4 mins away or walk to Univ of Washington campus / stadium and University Ave student life zone and a hundred ethnic restaurants. Very high quality restaurants within 6 blocks that are open as of April 2021.

No smoking indoors. Wash your own things and our towels and sheets in the washer and dryer. There is no maid service. We have a small dog, dogs allowed but no cats we have allergies. No Unapproved Guests - they are allowed but we must be informed who they are and when they are there.
