We are a couple in our 30s living together in our own appartment in Berlin. We have discovered home exchange as a great way to discover new places differently. Both working from home (Alina in development cooperation and Michael is an IT teacher) we are rather flexible in our schedule. Michael is allergic to cats, so even though we love animals we can't exchange homes with cat owners. We are curious to meet you!

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
We've been exchanging our beautiful flat in central Berlinsince 2022. Our 2.5-bedroom flat is located very conveniently in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg, close to public transport, restaurants, cafés and the "Mauerpark". It is 110 m2 big, has one bedroom, a large living room, kitchen (incl. dining area), bathroom (with a shower and a bathtub), WC, dressing room, storage room and two balconies. It is on the second floor in the rear building of a building dating from around 1900. The apartment is fully equipped and furnished (1.80m bed, two desks, large dinner table, convertible couch, TV, dish washer, washing machine, etc.) and we'd be happy to make some space for you!

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Choriner Straße is a beautiful and rather quiet street in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg (though there is a church nearby). It is close to U2 (Eberswalder Straße/Senefelder Platz) Tram M1 and 50 and U8 (Rosenthaler Platz). It is also very easy to bike to a lot of places in Berlin from our place. The neighborhood is friendly, relaxed and there are a lot of hip restaurants, bars and cafés close by (e.g. Kulturbrauerei, Kastanienallee and Kollwitzplatz). Mostly families and young couples are living in our building.

The flat is close to Mauerpark in a very lively part of Berlin. Museumsinsel and other attractions in the city centre are a 10-minutes bike-ride away. Lakes surrounding Berlin can be reached by S-Bahn.
