Hi everyone!
We are a Scottish-Vietnamese-German family of four from Berlin and we’re very interested in finding things out about other places and very willing to swap our house for yours in order to do so. Before having kids we used Couchsurfing a lot and love the idea of house sharing with people from all over world.
We like to explore nature - whatever form that may take, from mountain climbing to snorkelling - and meeting people and animals, from the biggest personalities to the smallest insects. We are all genuinely curious about different ways of living and doing things.
Steve’s hobby is 3D Printing which involves hacking together machines on many different levels, and Cha loves DIY, you can discover all her projects scattered around the apartment. Stay at ours and check it out yourself ;)

Steven's and Cha's apartment lies in one of the coolest parts of Berlin (Friedrichshain), just walk out of the door and you will "fall" into several restaurants and bars. Public transport is very close which is very convenient. During the night you hear almost nothing from the city around you. The apartment is cosy with a small balcony and everything you need for a nice stay. The conservation with Cha was very friendly and uncomplicated. Thank you very much!

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Friedrichshain is young, punk, industrial, and full of history. Artists and their galleries have long found a home here, with informal street art tagging every external surface.
Traditionally, Friedrichshain was the epicentre of Berlin’s counter-cultural activity, with huge riots between squatters and police taking place after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. While stylish cafés and boutiques have largely replaced the squats, Friedrichshain still boasts some important alternative venues, including the world-famous techno club Berghain and the RAW complex – a collection of industrial art spaces and music venues.
Boxhagener Platz hosts a street food market on Saturdays, and on Sundays, you can score a bargain or antique at one of the best flea markets in the city. The square is also possibly the best area for vegan dining, with 1990 Vegan Living, Chay Village and Vöner worth a try. Freidrichshain is full of families and therefore has family-friendly places, such as playgrounds at every few meters.
