We have a lot of children, homegrown as well as children from other places who landed in our home. By now they have all moved to other places and we are just two adults, living in a small house close to Copenhagen and with a summer cottage in Asserbo on the North Coast. In 2023-24 we are renovating our winter home and therefore cannot exchange that, but we are open for both simultaneous and non-simultaneous exchanges with our summer cottage. We are usually just two persons, but might try to persuade family members to come with us.
We love good food, home cooked as well as in restaurants, walking, reading and talking :-).

Our Home For Exchange
Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our summer house consists of two houses, a shed and a shelter with fireplace. The main house is 35m2 and has a living/diningroom, kitchenette, toilet and a bedroom with a twinbed. Showers are outdoor, with only birds to watch. Next to the house is an annex with two bedrooms - one with at double bed and one with a bunk bed. The plot is 2000 m2 and filled with trees and tall grass. Deer, owls and butterflies are frequent guests. In the summer, living is mostly outdoors, cooking on the gas grill and in the outdoor kitchen. Or you can spend long days on the best beach north of Copenhagen, only 15 minutes by bike from the house. There are 4 bikes, one with a baby seat and one with a small trailer for shopping or transport. Nice walking or trekking options through nearby forest or on the beach. The house is easy to reach by car or even by train and public bus.

The neighborhood is quiet with other summer cottages on large plots and mostly gravel roads. The local and very recommendable supermarket is only 5 minutes away on bike. Nice walking and trekking options in nice landscapes just outside the door.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
Asserbo is a very attractive summer location, because of the short distance to beautiful beaches and forest with walking paths and an extensive mountainbike trail. The area along the Northern Coast of North Zealand has a lot of summer cottages and little villages with shops and restaurants. Also North Zealand is dotted with artists workshops where you can buy from the artists themselves. If you want to meet the young and rich you can bike through the forest (30 min) to Tisvildeleje. During the summer you can find lots of cultural activities and festivals in the nearby towns of Frederiksværk and Hundested. By car you´re still only 60 kms from Copenhagen and can reach all the cultural atrractions in the city within an hour - or two if you prefer to take the train :-)
