Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our neighbourhood is the most exclusive in the Victoria area, but people are friendly and courteous. We are like a “little Britain” here, with lots of old homes mixed in with new, beautiful flowers and an active waterfront, with a marina just two blocks away. There are numerous places nearby for taking in the seaside setting by walking or bicycling. Our street is a dead end and so it remains fairly quiet. A public beach is within walking distance, and we are steps to a major golf course.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
From Oak Bay, several busses will take you into downtown Victoria where you can see the famous Empress Fairmount Hotel, the B.C. Legislature building (this is the capital city of British Columbia), the wharfs with shops, fish stores, and major tourist shops. Mini taxi boats can take you around to half a dozen vantage points. You can easily get a bus to world famous Butchart Gardens.
Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
We have lovely things and wish them to be gently handled. Our building is not suitable for children. Since we live in community with others we do not want excess noise or inconvenience for our kind neighbours. Pets are not allowed in this building.
