Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Experienced exchangers (24) offering a modern house in a quiet friendly neighbourhood in the beautiful Fraser Valley, surrounded by snow-capped mountains. The 4-bedroom home has a large front verandah, and a back patio with gas barbecue. Located in Chilliwack, where you can cycle or walk along the Vedder River on the Trans-Canada Trail, explore a blue heron sanctuary, hike the nearby Coast Range mountains, fish for salmon and sturgeon, visit Fort Langley museum, visit First Nations native sites, swim or golf at Cultus Lake or Harrison Hot Springs, and kayak/raft the white water of the Chilliwack River. The City of Chilliwack also offers live theatre, concerts, museums, dining, and shopping. Vancouver is accessible by freeway about one hour away. Mount Baker ski resort is just across the US border, one hour away. The spectacular Fraser Canyon, Hell's Gate, and Manning Park are about an hour to the east.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our Garrison Crossing neighbourhood is family-friendly with tree-lined streets, walkways and parks. The local shopping village is within easy walking and includes restaurants, grocery store, coffee shop, pharmacy, recreation centre with gyms, fitness centre, and pool, and banks. Within walking distance is the Chilliwack River renowned for fishing, kayaking, and white water rafting. Nearby City of Chilliwack includes cultural centre with art gallery and theatres, recreation centres, ice arena, indoor mall, and much more. Beautiful Cultus Lake is 10 minutes drive away, with camping, beaches, waterslides, boat rentals, and picnicking. The Blue Heron Nature Preserve is a 15 minute bike ride away.

From our house it is a 5 minute walk to Garrison Village offering restaurants, coffee shop, grocery store, and pharmacy. Nearby is Cheam Recreation Centre with gymnasiums, indoor swimming pool, fitness rooms, weight training, and drop-in fitness classes. A 10 minute walk takes you to the Chilliwack and Vedder Rivers, offering fishing, kayaking, white water boating, hiking, bird watching (eagles, herons), and cycling trails. Chilliwack offers live theatre and concerts in its Cultural Centre, ice hockey at the arena, an indoor shopping mall, and a multi-screen cinema complex. Mountain hiking trails are nearby. A 10 minute drive takes you to beautiful Cultus Lake for swimming, boating, water slides, golfing, picnicking, and camping. Just 30 minutes away is the resort village of Harrison Hot Springs and Harrison Lake.
