Our Home For Exchange

Description of the home we are offering for exchange

We live in the beautiful Village of Anmore in British Columbia, one of only three villages in the Greater Vancouver area. For those looking to get away from the city and enjoy nature at its best while being only a few minutes' drive to nearby shopping and less than 45mins from downtown Vancouver this is the place for you.

Our home is across the street from Belcarra Regional Park and our property backs on to a forest connecting to the park. From here you can walk 7 minutes through our back forest to a set of powerlines where you will be welcomed with a spectacular view of downtown Vancouver, Georgia Strait and Vancouver Island. To the west you can hike down to Sasamat Lake and to the east down to Buntzen Lake, both take 25-45mins depending on the speed you walk and which trail you choose.

We custom built our Westcoast style home in 2010 on a one acre lot, which takes advantage of some breath-taking views, on a mountainside overlooking the village.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home

Our home is across the street from Belcarra Regional Park and our property backs on to a forest connecting to the park. There is an extensive network of hiking trails within the park. A 5 minute drive away is the village of Belcarra which is situated across from Deep Cove along Indian Arm.

10 minutes south is Port Moody which has a wide range of great restaurants and shops, with something for everyone.

Coquitlam is also 10 minutes away and also has some great parks and a large shopping mall.

To get to downtown Vancouver, you can drive in less than 45 minutes, or sit back and take a 30 minute journey on the nearby West Coast Express commuter train.

For those looking to travel while you’re here, we are just under an hour from the US Border, YVR airport and Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal. Whistler is a 2.5 – 3hr drive and can easily be done in a day trip if you head out early. The Okanagan wine region is a picturesque 3-4 hr drive away.
