Susie and Rob generously let us use their main residence for a few days so we could see Vancouver. The contrast with the summer house was very marked. We loved the house and location and struggled to tear ourselves away from it to go out and about. We didn't miss TV at all as all life was happening outside the windows. It was easy to relax very quickly into island time and we enjoyed your books , jigsaws and DVDs, art work , too. The house felt like a happy house and while in Salt Spring the weather was glorious. Thanks for leaving our place so clean and tidy. Thanks for a great break!

Our Home For Exchange

Description of the home we are offering for exchange

Glass and Cedar home designed by renowned architect. 3100 square feet. Spacious yet cozy. Vaulted ceilings and large windows bathe the house in south west exposure. Three large bedrooms and loft upstairs, open plan living room dining room and kitchen on main floor, along with master bedroom & bath with jacuzzi, main floor bathroom, large laundry room/TV room. Two decks overlooking the ocean. 200 ft of waterfront, with path and steps to the water. Forest setting encourages many deer, racoons and eagle sightings.

Our house is part of the strata corporation "Maracaibo Estates" http://maracaibo.ca/which includes tennis, badminton and pickle ball courts, lagoon with safe swimming and boating, and miles of trails and private beaches.

Ferry also connects to Vancouver, home of 2010 Olympics.
VANCOUVER HOME ALSO AVAILABLE: Our principal home is centrally located Vancouver, and we would be happy to arrange for a stay there as well.

Salt Spring Island is the "Jewel" of British Columbia's Gulf islands, off the West Coast of Canada. Golfing,sailing and kayaking opportunities abound. Saturday market is very popular - organic produce and crafts of all types.
10,000 people reside In Salt Spring, (numbers swelling in the summer months). There are several wineries, a strong arts and craft community, a variety of hiking trails and seven lakes for swimming and fishing. Main town of Ganges has numerous shops and restaurants, an arts centre which attracts world class musicians and dancers. There is also a movie theatre, and two golf courses on the island as well.
British Columbia's capital, Victoria, is an easy day trip away.

Ferry also connects to Vancouver, home of 2010 Olympics.

Our principal home is centrally located there, and we would be happy to arrange for a stay there as well.
