Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our house is in a rural area adjacent to a main road. We are well situated to explore the Bruce Peninsula, Tobermory and the National park. As well we are close to Sauble beach, an amazing 11km beach; the second longest fresh water beach in Canada. Also the Bruce trail passes close by as it traverses from Niagara Falls to Tobermory. The Tom Thompson art gallery is in Owen Sound.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
You will need a car to get around as we are in a rural location but there are many things to explore in the area. Bruce Peninsula National Park is a very popular destination. There are lots of hiking opportunities including the Bruce Trail and several water falls in the area to explore. There is also Lionshead for swimming, hiking and the dark sky preserve. Grey Roots museum and archives with a recreated heritage village. And for a beach experience, we are only 15 minutes from Sauble, the second longest fresh water beach in Canada and about an hour from Wasaga which is the longest.
