We are a retired public servants (Parks Canada and The National Archives of Canada) living in Ottawa. Ontario. Ten years ago we (Nick and Mary) built a house in Nova Scotia as a home away from home. It would make an ideal location for a family holiday or a couple's getaway. It is a comfortable 1250 square feet, having three bedrooms and two bathrooms, with an open concept living/dining/kitchen area overlooking the Northumberland Strait and Prince Edward Island. A new heat exchanger provides heat and air conditioning as well as a propane fireplace. We are primarily looking to for an exchange somewhere in south London in order to spend time with one of our sons who is living there.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
We have a fully equipped bungalow situated on one acre on a private road on the Northumberland Strait. It is 15 minutes away from the town of Pictou where all services are available, and the same distance to the ferry to Prince Edward Island. It is within a small friendly community of cottages and year-round houses, but private with amazing ocean views and unforgettable sunrises and sunsets. In May and June lobster fishing occurs in front of the house, and later in the year there are herring and scallop fisheries. There are farmers' markets in New Glasgow and Tatamagouche about 25 minutes away and many historic and artisan attractions within a short drive.
