Our Home For Exchange

Description of the home we are offering for exchange

We have the perfect combination of quality "comfy" home and outstanding location. Our house is a charming "hygge" log home only 10 Kilometres from the vibrant mountain town of Nelson in southernBritish Columbia, Canada. British Columbia is the western most province of Canada. We have recently upgraded much of our home. It is one bedroom (King size bed) with an open loft, three decks, lovely views of Kootenay Lake, the city of Nelson and the surrounding forest and mountains. Our kitchen is small but up to date and very functional. The bathroom has large windows looking out on the forest, and a lovely larger than usual claw foot bathtub from the early twentieth century, but is without a shower. We will include "FREE"passes to our Aquatic Centre(10 min drive)..so you can enjoy a hot tub soak, swim laps, have a steam and a SHOWER!
The nearest airports to Nelson are Castlegar BC (30 minutes), Cranbrook BC (3 hours), Spokane Washington USA (3 hours) Kelowna BC (4 hours), Calgary Alberta (7 hours) and Vancouver BC (8 hours).

Neighbourhood

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area

Our neighbourhood is quiet and friendly. Our neighbours are lovely helpful folks who are our friends. It feels like community. The homes are large and well kept. The yards are large with gardens, fields, trees. We are adjacent to a mountain and forest with trails that you can easily explore. Below our property is a creek that you can hear when you are outside enjoying a morning coffee or evening glass of wine on one of our decks. The creek also provides a lovely cool breeze each evening.
We are in a fantastic location surrounded by many wonderful things to explore and experience.
