Our Home For Exchange

Description of the home we are offering for exchange

Our house is on a beautiful treed lot located on a very quite cul-de-sac, minutes from Point Pleasant Park, within walking distance to all major Halifax attractions and venues, including the award wining Central Library, waterfront, Saint Mary's, Dalhousie and King's universities, and both the IWK and QEII hospitals. The house has 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms with jacuzzi/air baths in both. There are 2 queens beds, a double bed and a queen pull out sofa. Lots of space to relax with multiple decks and large garden. In additional to a large living room and dining room there is a large family room. Ideally located to explore all Atlantic Canada has to offer, from it's coastline, world famous tides, it's rich history, abundance of great seafood and a vibrant art and theatre scene.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home

It's an easy walk from the house to Point Pleasant Park, downtown, Halifax waterfront, Halifax Public Gardens, Citadel fortress, Emera Oval, Universities, Halifax Convention Center, Halifax Central Library and both Hospitals.
At the Halifax waterfront there is the Pier 21 Immigration Museum where between 1928 and 1971 one in five of all immigrants came through this entrance into a new life in Canada. You can also explore your family genealogy at the museum.
Enjoy great seafood at the many restaurants along the Halifax waterfront or simply enjoy the boardwalk and take in the sights.

Our Preferences

Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules

My husband and I take great pride in our home. Our expectation is that people keep our place neat and tidy yet enjoy themselves in our home as well as our in our community. We will occasionally have back to back exchanges so would like to think that our guests leave the house in same condition for the next party.
