Doug and I have two children, 16 and 17 years of age. We love to explore new areas, see new things and meet new people. We are adventurous and enjoy being in the outdoors. We love eating local cuisine and trying different foods and learning about new cultures. We are both elementary school teachers.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our neighborhood is friendly and quiet. It is conveniently located to the shopping area for groceries, clothes, gas, coffee shops, restaurants and pharmacy. While here, one can fully take advantage of the outdoors and enjoy its picturesque beauty by exploring the nearby surroundings or sitting in our backyard or on our sundeck. A fire in our backyard fire pit is a great way to spend the evening. Squamish is located one hour from both Vancouver and Whistler on the scenic Sea to Sky Highway..

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
From our house, it is a short walk (2 blocks) to several local restaurants and shops. All other local attractions are a 5-20 minute drive from our house. During the summer, there is access to multiple lakes (all good for swimming), hiking and biking from easy to extreme trails, rock climbing, wind surfing/kite boarding and stand up paddle boarding, tennis, golf, ocean access for beach combing and scuba diving. If participating in the sports is not for you, you can enjoy your stay by taking in all the beautiful surroundings while on our sundeck or in the back yard relaxing. There are several first class historical museums specializing in trains, copper mines, First Nations Peoples. The Sea to Sky Gondola is a site not to be missed on a beautiful sunny day. There is never a shortage of activities in our area and you can do as little or as much as you want.
