Gabriola Island is just off the east coast of Vancouver Island, and is an island paradise, with many walking trails, artist studios, and a Saturday market. Our home is on the water, with views of the nearby islands and the hills on Vancouver Island. The sandy beach is easily accessible and is warm enough in the summer months for swimming. The neighbours are quiet and friendly.

From our home, it is an easy walk to Slow Rise Bakery, where you can buy delicious breads and other baked goods. There are two parks nearby that are easily accessed and provide great walking trails. Beach walking is easily accessible. There are many kilometers of walking trails nearby. Kayaking and whale watching tours are offered on the island.
