Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
We expect our home to be treated as well as we promise to treat yours. We have had 12+ fantastic exchanges, to mutual satisfaction, by being clear in our communication, following through on expectations and requests, and welcoming new experiences.
We will leave our home clean, and ready to "move in". If exchange times allow, we will stock our home with enough fresh produce (milk, eggs, bread, fruit, etc) to set our exchange partners up until they can explore the local shopping. We'd like the same in return. We can discuss preferences for foods etc.
We are a no smoking and no pets home. We are child friendly.
We can often arrange for pick up for our exchangers at local airports (Nanaimo/Cassidy or Victoria) or ferry terminals (Victoria/Swartz bay, Nanaimo Duke Point, or Nanaimo).
How to get to our home - The best route is to either plan to arrive in either Nanaimo or Victoria airport, we live between the two cities, or you could also arrive in Vancouver, and visit/tour a while, and then catch the ferry over to the Island, to the Nanaimo or Victoria area. The ferries run regularly, as they are a part of the highway system.
Our family, friends or ourselves if flights allow, will arrange to pick you up from either the airport or the ferry terminal, and bring you to the house and car.
We have local family who can help out, if needed or requested, and who have enjoyed meeting "HomeLinkers" in the past.
