Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our home is a sunny, bright, open plan, comfortable 2000 sq.ft rancher with an upstairs room. There are 4 bedrooms in the home, two of them have queen beds, 1 has a double bed and the office/bedroom has a single bed. We plan to use the office/bedroom as storage during home exchanges, however we are open to discussion around that. The main living area is open plan and the kitchen area is about to be updated with a 9ft island and new counter tops. The office/reading room is a great place to settle down with a good book. A medium sized deck leads off the dining area, and there is a view over a park and to the ocean. The BBQ is set down from the deck but has easy access.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
If you love to adventure on the ocean, up mountains and in forests then our home in a quiet neighborhood in Campbell River on Vancouver Island is the perfect home away from home for you. We have great neighbors who are very helpful and our family live close by if you have any questions. We are well located to access (a 5 minute walk) the Beaver Lodge lands where you can forest walk for hours, or ride a bike. Walk to a small mall that has a coffee shop, liquor store and take out/eat in pizza, subs and taco restaurants. A Shoppers Drugmart has a Pharmacy, Post Office and general groceries section. Other shopping areas are close by. By car it takes 10 minutes to get downtown where you will find everything you might need.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
Campbell River and the surrounding area has so much to offer including many biking and hiking trails. The Beaver Lodge Lands, a block behind our home is wonderful for forest walking ,biking and hiking. A wander along the sea walk offers beautiful views of the ocean and the adjacent islands. Speaking of islands, we have many beautiful islands near by that offer great day trip options and have artists and artisans open to visit in the summer. Whale and bear watching are highly recommended. If you are a fisherman many fishing guides offer their services to catch a delicious salmon for supper. A 45 minute drive gets you to Mount Washington Nordic and Alpine ski resort which is also great to visit in the summer for biking, hiking and riding the blue chair to reach a spectacular view and possibly even a chance to feed the Whisky Jacks! Pack a picnic and go to one of the many sparkling lakes or to the beach. Too many options to list - just know you will not be bored!
Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
We would like you to feel welcome and relaxed in our home. We understand that things happen and just ask you let us know if you have had a little "oops". We do have some precious things so little ones need to be well supervised.
