Description of the home we are offering for exchange
New Zealand - Looking for a non-simultaneous exchange for a week or less during Nov 16-Dec 15. We are driving from the North Island to the South Island during that time.
This newly renovated home is a blend of 1960's nostalgia and contemporary styling. Open kitchen/dining on the main living floor with front and back outdoor patios. Front patio is sunny and fun surrounded by flowers and people walking. Back patio is private and furnished with a BBQ and garden. Our home has 2 Master Suites with King Beds and a third bedroom with a Queen Bed and no ensuite. Second floor has a home office with wifi and printer. This is a quiet and friendly neighbourhood where we know all our neighbours. There is a lovely park with a playground across the street. It is a short walk to the Bow River Pathways for walking and biking and the lively Kensington shopping/ restaurant district is just blocks away. A 25 minute walk to the downtown opens up more shopping, cultural and dining choices. Great access to public transportation. A secure single car garage stores our 2 older city bikes (with locks and helmets).

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our neighbourhood is friendly and quiet. It is like being in the middle of nature yet still being close to Calgary's lively urban core. There is lots to do from our home. Beautiful walking trails by the river can be found 2 blocks away and it is in close proximity to the vibrant youthful Kensington mixed use district.

Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
My husband and I take great pride in our home. Our expectation is that people keep our place neat and tidy yet enjoy themselves in our home as well as our in our community. Upon departure you are asked to either clean our home leaving it the way you found it with clean linens etc OR utilize the services of our professional cleaner for a nominal fee. While we welcome children, we no longer have any toys or bicycles although there is a wonderful playground across the street.
