We love life and are both retired. We want to continue exploring the world. We are willing to exchange in most countries around the world! We are heading to Rossland to ski this winter and that can be interruped by something that comes along through homelink, or come home from skiing and head out on another adventure. We are flexible and open to offers. 2023 has come and we are open to going most anywhere. I do want to get to Spain this fall or Spring of 2024. We want to cross an Australian Desert at some point We are adventurous & love skiing and cycling and hiking and kayaking. Our small town is just that, a very comfortable and friendly community with lovely neighbours that will welcome you. Vancouver and all that city has to offer is 1.5 hours away (120km). One of our recent vacations was a 9000km round trip drive to Tuktoyaktuk in Canada's far north, across the Arctic Circle. We live in an amazing area and in an amazing country.
Our home may be available this winter for a non-simultaneous excchange (or simultaneous) as we will be away skiing.

All hikes were less than an hour from the house. We also saw an art exhibition in downtown Vancouver, just 1.5 hours away, and visited friends in the lower mainland. It was lovely to come home to the house at the end of the day, and enjoy dinner in the garden. We really appreciated the research and information John and Beverley provided about good places to explore. Thanks for a making this a great break for us!

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our home is a comfortable 3 bedroom bungalow nestled in the beautiful Fraser Valley, surrounded by majestic mountains. Built in 1966, our house is a solid one-story home that has been renovated over the years. We have a beautiful private back yard that has been landscaped to enhance a relaxing day. From the front we have an incredible view of Mt. Cheam which often has snow on it in the heat of summer. We have great neighbours and our community is small and welcoming. There are many year round recreation and cultural activities close at hand. Shopping is a short walk as is a great fitness centre and our local hike, 'the Green Grind". Whether you like to walk around town or on trails, it is all here. Harrison Hot Springs and Harrison Lake are 6 km away and offer all water sports (swimming, kayaking, fishing, boating, tours....) There are two small ski Mountain resorts within 1.5 hours of our home and Whistler or Sun Peaks are 3 hours away, one west of us and one north. They may offer all season mountain activities including winter sports including cross country and downhill skiing, hiking, snowshoeing, camping, cycling (see links)

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our neighbourhood is friendly and quiet. We are two blocks from the centre of town. We have a mix of young families, working families and retirees who on most evenings can be seen going for a walk about town. They will easily stop to chat. There is an elementary school nearby. We have a great view of mountains from the front of our home.
Our peaceful community is a 10 minute drive to Harrison Hot Springs, a world renowned tourist destination. A 25 minute drive in the other direction brings you to the bustling small city of Chilliwack. Vancouver is a 1.5 hour drive west. There is bus service to Chilliwack and Harrison Hot Springs. Check out Via Rail for train options in the province.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
We have two ski hills nearby plus Whistler and Sun Peaks are each three hours away. Do you want to spend time skiing from December to March? Agassiz is a small town surrounded by dairy farms and crops as such you can walk out our front door, turn left to town or turn right to get to our country roads, identified community trails and walks or bicycling along the Fraser River dykes. We have a vibrant local museum. We have an awesome small town fitness centre and a short walk to the downtown core restaurants and our local museum. The beach and tourist activities are 6km away in Harrison Hot Springs. More culture, activities and bigger shopping is in Chilliwack, 20 km away. All can be done by bus or taxi but a car would be much more convenient.
