Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our Victorian terraced house was built in 1902, with an extension and renovation to a contemporary finish in 2022.
The ground floor is a through lounge with bay window, lots of comfy seating and a dining table at the rear. The kitchen is a bit older but is fully equipped, including a washing machine, and dishwasher. The garden has a BBQ, table and chairs and uniquely a hammock that fits two.
On the first floor is bedroom one with a double bed. Bedroom two is currently our toddler's room so there are lots of toys, books and everything else a four-year-old could need - there is also a cot and sleepy head should you need it. This room does have a full single bed so an adult can sleep here. The main bathroom has been updated to luxury standards. There is a walk-in rain shower, deep bathtub and underfloor heating.
The top floor is recently built and comes with exposed wooden flooring throughout. Bedroom three has a new super king-sized mattress that can practically fit the whole family. The final room is currently used as an office and has a beautiful chequerboard desk, two office chairs and fiber wifi; but it can also be used as a fourth bedroom - there is a sofa bed with a comfy mattress that fits on top. There is also a second bathroom with walk-in shower.
Our house is on a quiet, leafy suburban street with good transport connections. There are two excellent pubs within walking distance (The Boleyn Tavern and Red Lion) and the award-winning food and coffee at Central Park Cafe. In East Ham, just up the road, you can try dozens of regional Indian and Sri Lankan cuisines at restaurants on the high street. The Tube (Upton Park station) is a 15-minute walk or 5-minute bus ride away. From the door, it takes 40 minutes to the Tower of London.
We have a small King Charles dog and a cat. If you're open to looking after them, fantastic, but we can also make arrangements for them to be housed elsewhere.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
We live on the Central Park Estate, a suburb of plane tree-lined streets with Victorian terraces around the big space of Central Park itself. It's quiet, and relaxed but has great transport connections to other parts of London. The Tube (Upton Park station) is a 15-minute walk or 5-minute bus ride away. From our door, it takes 40 minutes to the Tower of London, 30 minutes to Canary Wharf and 15 minutes to the Excel Centre
There is a local supermarket up the road, and more shops a fifteen-minute walk away on East Ham high street. Or, it is a 25-minute bus ride to Stratford Westfield and train station
The Tube (Upton Park station) is a 15min walk or 5min bus ride away. From the door, it takes 40mins to the Tower of London, 25mins to Stratford and 15 mins to the Excel Centre.

Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
We're ideally looking for someone who can look after our cat, and very small and relaxed King Charles Dog. Looking for longer exchanges of a few weeks, mostly.
