We are a family of 3 (2 adults and 1 baby boy, born in 2021). We live in a modern family home with 3 floors which was recently build (2020) in a calm and low traffic area. The house is located in Gentbrugge, a quiet village very close to the city center of Ghent with lots of young families. We have a small, charming city garden with terrace and are surrounded by a city park. Our house is 160 m² with 1 master bedroom with desk/polyvalent area, 1 children's room (baby bed, and 2 single beds), 1 desk area (where we can add an extra matrass) & 1 dressing.
The garden is small but we are surrounded by a city park with water pound. We have 2 city bikes available,1 urban arrow cargo bike and a Thule bike trailer (2 seats) available.

Our house is located at cycling distance from the city center of Ghent, a vibrant city with lots of architecture, culture and trendy urban life. According to the Lonely Planet authors, Ghent is Europe's best kept secret. This is what they write on their website: "Here’s a secret within a secret: Ghent might just be the best European city you’ve never thought of visiting, in a country that continues to be criminally overlooked."
The city park surrounding the house is connected to the car-free bike path next to the river via which you can go to the Gentbrugse Meersen (nature reserve with playground). Mulptiple small parks and playgrounds are at walking distance. It's also an ideal place to visit the rest of Belgium, only 45 min drive to Antwerp, Brussels and Bruges. The Flemish Ardennes (Tour of Flanders) with lots of walking and cycling options are a 30 minutes car drive. The main train station of Ghent with many connections to the rest of Belgium is at 10 minutes drive.
