a christmas week in Bruges
Thanks to Jorijn and Pascal we did for the first time a house swap in our own country Belgium. Between Christmas and New Year we had a lovely time. We were warmly welcomed at their house. They provided us with plenty of documentation and tourist guides. Too much to do in one week. We discovered Bruges and the surrounding environment (Brugse ommeland). Almost every day we took a walk to the center of Bruges. Their charming house is really close to the city (10 minutes walk). One day we did some chocolate shopping, another time we visited one of the splendid musea (The Gruuthusemuseum, Sint-Janshospitaal, Arentshuis, and lots of others), and another time we just enjoyed the Christmas atmosphere. But we can also recommend the region around Bruges : We walked and cycled a lot. To Lissewege, Damme, Knokke-Heist (the sea) and some nature reserves nearby. As I said before, too much to see and to do in one week. When we returned after one week, Jorijn and Pascal left our home clean and tidy . So Jorijn, Pascal, Abel and Babette…… thanks a lot for this inspiring opportunity. Just the thing we needed during this weird times. Johan, Saskia, Nina and Margot
