We had a fantastic holiday in Aartselaar. There was so much to see and do in the area, not just in Antwerp but further afield and the house is well-positioned for trips to other parts of Belgium. We particularly enjoyed exploring the area by bike, burning off all the calories we gained from the Belgian beer, chocolate, waffles and frites! The house was very comfortable and well-equipped, and the neighbours were very friendly and helpful. Our children (7 and 4) really enjoyed themselves. We met Kris and Veerla and their children when they came over to London and they are a lovely family. They looked after our home very well. Highly recommended as a destination and a Homelink exchange partner.

Open to offers for weekends and school holidays.

Recent passive house (very well insulated, central ventilation, sun screens) in calm neighbourhood 10 km south of Antwerp and 30 km north of Brussels.

We have an open plan living room/kitchen/office space on the ground floor, 3 bedrooms, dressing room with IR-sauna, bath room (bath and walk-in shower), large attic (toys for kids ), attached garage (bicycles and trip maps available) and sunny terrace (southside) with BBQ.

Day trips possible to sea side, nature parks, Amsterdam, Achen, Köln, , Düsseldorf, Lille, Luxemburg.

Public transportation in vicinity with easy acces to the cultural city of Antwerp
- visit the cathedral,
- musea: Rubens, Plantin Moretus, modern art, MAS, Red Star Line, ...
- taste more than 400 Belgian beers in one of the many pubs

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home

Village centre is 1km (you have to cross the National road) with pubs, bakery and several shops.
City of Antwerp can be reached by car, bicycle (30 minutes) or take the bus (5 minute walk). Lots of pubs and restaurants, visit the cathedral (with paintings of Rubens), musea (modern art, fashion, Rubens house, Plantin Moretus, ...) or go shopping.
