Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Nice town house in quiet neighbourhood near main station in Gent. Great for public transport: trains to most cities in Belgium and trams and buses nearby. Restaurants and pubs at walking distance and also in the historic city centre at 2 kms. Very small garden - we call it our patio ;) - just large enough for two people to eat in (or to hang a hammock).

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Friendly, very quiet, almost sleepy, neighbourhood, but ideal for public transport within the city and to other cities.
May be you'll meet some of our welcoming neighbours.
The restaurants we've indicated are at walking distance.
Beautiful historic centre at 2 kms: you can walk (very nicely along the river Leie), cycle or take a tram.
Parking regulations aren't easy for visitors: we'll give more information should you wish to come by car.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
One of the great European mediaeval cities with castle, cathedral (with famous Mystic Lamb by Van Eyck), and many other buildings. Interesting museums (about old and contemporary art, design, our very interesting local history...). What we particularly like: the historic centre is almost carless! Lots of places to eat and drink.
Our favourite museums: see below. Lots of information on https://visit.gent.be/en

We want you to feel at home. Since we are rather new in Homelink, we'll try to give you as much information as you may need. We also like feedback.
Every Friday, a lady comes to clean: be friendly to her (she doesn't speak English), and put everything away before she comes.
Use our 'best bikes' only for cycle tours and chain them in a very safe way. To cycle in the city, take our old 'city bikes'.
