Our Home For Exchange

Description of the home we are offering for exchange

Familyhouse surrounded by a quiet garden in a very charming area.
Birgitz is located very close to Innsbruck, the capital of the Tyrol. Ideal to visit a lot of interesting places. To Italy 40 km, to Germany 30 km, to Munich and Salzburg 2 h drive. We are in possibly the best part of Austria with mountains arround and a beautiful, unspoiled nature with a lot of culture.
We both - Greti and Toni - are retired teachers and love to travel. We had about 20 exchanges in the past, only with the best experiences. After a few years break, we start to travel again.
We live in our new bungalow in the north garden.
Your apartment is on the 1st floor of our house which is connected with a spiral staircase. There is large balcony, the foyer, the living room combined with the kitchen and a shower with toilet and two sleeping rooms. The Garden in the north is at your disposal.

Our son Mike, is an architecture, he lives with his girl friend on the 2nd floor of our house. Our daughter Julia with Alma and her friend are living on the ground floor.
If you need any help, somebody will be at home.

Innsbruck - a journey of discovery

Steeped in centuries of colourful history, Innsbruck features a range of fine examples of Imperial splendour bestowed on the town by numerous Habsburg rulers with a penchant for architecture and creative arts. Some of the town’s most significant monuments date back to the late 15th century, marking the early heydays of the Austrian monarchy. Visitors are taken on a journey back in time with an enchanting array of splendid architectural gems from the Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Neo-Classical period. Historical landmarks such as the Golden Roof, the Court Church with its stunning bronze statues, the Imperia l Palace and Ambras Castle evoke the grandeur of the Habsburg empire’s bygone greatness. But Innsbruck scores also with visionary urban design to make any modern architecture enthusiast’s heart beat faster – for example Heinz Tesar’s inspired BTV Stadtforum, or the spectacular Bergisel Ski Jump Stadium created by Zaha Hadid.
