A great exchange thank you ! Love, John and Marg xx

There is still so much for us to do there. On the other hand we were just happy to sit on the balcony and take in the seaview. We are so grateful that you turned on the 'whale show' for us - we saw them every day! Regards John and Pat

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our home is located in the pleasant coastal village of Valla Beach, on the NSW Mid-North Coast 40km south of the regional centre of Coffs Harbour. It is just 8km north of the holiday community of Nambucca Heads. Our home was our family’s holiday cottage which we have changed into our retirement home. This has been achieved by adding a top story with our main bedroom with views up the beach to Coffs Harbour and a bathroom plus an upstairs living area and kitchenette.so breakfast can be taken on the top deck. The home enjoys stunning views of the nearby mountains and the pristine waters of the Pacific Ocean. A short walk through pleasant bushland, in which wildlife and birds abound gives access to the beautiful golden sandy beach stretching for over four km to the lovely Wenonah Point. Downstairs is the recently renovated kitchen and living area . Downstairs bedrooms provide the choice of a queen bed or two single beds. The downstairs north facing deck provides a lovely area for morning tea and gives easy access to the sub-tropical garden.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Valla Beach is a quiet coastal village with our house located in a friendly neighborhood. The natural beauty of the area provides opportunities for a wide range of outdoor activities with an easy walk to the local beach which reaches to beautiful Wenona Point. People who like exploring the area can find picnic areas close to one of the many beaches in the area or if mountain areas are desired lovely day excursions can be taken to Dorrigo Mountain National Park (World Heritage Area) or New England National Park with extensive views from Point Lookout. If regional centers are desired then excursions to Coffs Harbour to the North or Port Macquarie to the south. Both have good theaters and cultural activities, galleries and shopping centers.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
Our home is short and easy walk to the attractive North Valla Beach which provided the opportunity for beach walks, surfing etc. For those interested in serious walking there is a local walking group with easy, medium or difficult walks. The local tennis club is a very welcoming group who welcome visitors of all abilities. There are a number of golf courses within easy reach these range from the Bonville International Golf course to courses suitable for hackers. Bowling greens are found in most of the towns and villages in the area. Bellingen is a quaint country town with good eateries as well as many craft galleries. The local markets provide a great outing on the third Saturday of every month. Picnic areas are numerous and are located both at popular beach spots or within sub-tropical rain forests. The Coffs Harbour Botanical Gardens also have a great spot for a picnic.

Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
We are open to a variety of offers and requests. We usually seek relatively short exchanges (two weeks) but are open to longer exchange requests. We offer car exchange for simultaneous swaps but need the car when we accept non-simultaneous swaps. Although we indicate no children this is not absolute as we have six beds and have a house that is child friendly. Plant care is not usually required other than possibly watering a couple of indoor plants and maybe some outdoor watering if we have a particularly dry spell This would mainly be for the vegetable garden which we like to have productive for our house swappers. Please check our exchange preferences below
