Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our home is in a quiet, elevated location surrounded by green reserves and a bike/walking track with fast easy public transport direct to Brisbane city. Birds visit to feed regularly, with many more in the nearby reserves. Cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and pubs are within walking distance, and many popular dining precincts are a few minutes drive away.
Brisbane is a very liveable city, with the popular Sunshine Coast beaches only 1 hour to the North, Gold Coast 1.5 hours to the South, and the beautiful Moreton Bay islands a short ferry ride to the East. The airport is only 20 minutes away, giving direct access to the whole country.
Our house is pet-friendly, although we do not have any of our own. It is an older-style home, with modern renovated bathroom, polished floors, and a delightful shaded rear deck for outdoor dining in the warm months.
In addition to the main house upstairs, we have an extra self-contained studio flat downstairs, which can be used by a couple if we are home, or to provide additional accommodation for a larger family.
We are seeking an exchange anywhere in Scotland, Northern England or Europe.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our neighbourhood is very quiet, with no through traffic, and well suited to families with nearby reserves and playgrounds. We are very close to our local shopping centre/supermarket, which has a multi screen movie centre in addition to a large range of shops and facilities. As we are relatively close to the city centre, access by public transport is very good. We are also very close to the Brisbane vehicle tunnel network, which allows access to Brisbane International Airport within 15 minutes.
Our area has an extensive cycling/walking track along the local creek, which also connects with cycle tracks to most parts of the city.
