Attractions

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home

Our home is peaceful and quiet yet is only a thirty-minute walk to Salamanca Market and the city of Hobart.
Salamanca and the nearby wharf area abound with artist's wares, fabulous wool, leather, and fine garments, great restaurants and coffee shops.
Day trips by boat or bus leave early from the wharf, covering such places as Port Arthur, Mount Wellington (kunyani) and city tours among others.
The Theatre Royal in Hobart hosts many wonderful amateur productions and nearby are the Museum and Art Gallery and also the Maritime Museum.
Tasmania, surrounded by water, is about boats, beaches and all things nautical. Do check out the May Queen, the oldest sailing ketch in the southern hemisphere still afloat in Waterman's Dock.
Muirs Restaurant provide both fine dining (for fish lovers, Blue-eye is a must, and they do it to perfection). Muirs also have al fresco dining at the lower level, where you can surreptitiously slip a little to hungry seagulls if you dare.
Very nearby is Bi-Centennial Park and Lambert Creek. The park is in its natural state, with uneven but made paths and a walk could be for ten minutes or many hours. The choice is yours!

Our Preferences

Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules

It is important to find our home neat and tidy when we get home. It is also important that dining table, chairs and other antiques are treated with respect and cared for.
