Description of the home we are offering for exchange
A spacious home with 2 queen sized bedrooms, an open family room with brand new kitchen overlooking the natural bush park and a separate refurnished lounge room. The spacious modern bathroom and kitchen have just been renovated and the second bathroom and laundry are newly renovated. Ducted reverse cycle air conditioning and ceiling fans are fitted. There is undercover secure parking and 2 bicycles available for exploring the area.
Easy public transport to exciting Fremantle and Perth, the vibrant capital of Western Australia. The park opposite the house has untouched natural bushland surrounding open grassed areas to contemplate the good life. Fremantle has many heritage buildings with the University of Notre Dame amongst the buildings of the West End. The famous Cappuccino strip is vibrant, beautiful and bizarre. The world acclaimed Fremantle markets is full of fresh produce, culinary delights and gifts for everyone. At the weekends circus entertainers and buskers delight the onlookers with their talents and comedy. Ten minutes away is the superb South beach and Coogee beach with its wonderful swimming bays and delightful cafes. Bather’s beach in Fremantle is amongst the cafes, seafood restaurants and delightful bars. Twenty minutes up the coast takes you to a whole row of iconic beaches from Port Beach to Cottesloe beach. Further up the coast liberated nudists flock to Swanbourne beach. There are regular buses outside the house or at the end of the street taking you into Fremantle or frequent trains to Perth.
The Bibbulmun Track, famous amongst hikers starts at Kalamunda in the hills to the east of the metro area and is less than an hour’s drive from us. This track goes through the beautiful Jarrah forests and is a wonderful chance to get back to nature. Perth itself is an amazing collection of art galleries, restaurants and is home to the incredible Kings Park. This overlooks the fabulous Swan River which flows through Northam (where the Avon Descent begins) all the way through Perth to the Indian Ocean at Fremantle. There are all day boat trips from Fremantle to Perth and beyond to the wineries. We love going by ferry across the Swan River to South Perth zoo with its beautiful gardens and wonderful wildlife. If you wished to spend a day or two Rottnest Island. It is an hour away by fast ferry where you can cycle, walk or catch the bus (the only motor vehicle). The snorkelling is wonderful in the crystal clear water and we have a cheeky little animal called a quokka. A quokka is a knee high marsupial with the most endearing face. They have plenty to eat but really appreciate a drop of fresh water from your bottle. A half hour drive south will take you to Penguin Island where you can get the shuttle ferry to see the fairy penguins in their natural habitat. We have loads of dolphins and of course our amazing West coast sunsets.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
We are 6km out of the city of Fremantle beaches and city in a quiet suburban neighbourhood. Close enough to the action but anyway from the hussel and bussel. We are directly opposite the natural bushland of Samson park with its towering native trees. We are closely connected to public transport outside the house to the nearby capital of Perth. We are 9km from the iconic Coogee beach.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
Simply walk into the natural bushland opposite. There are well formed paths taking you through the tall trees and amazing Zanthorrea plants. They are giant grasses that look like small trees and have spear like flower spikes. We have numerous lakes nearby to ride your bikes around. There are 2 shopping centres nearby 2km and 3km and 6km into Fremantle.

Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
We would be so happy when you leave our house exactly as you find it. We have swapped homes within Australia and everyone was happy.
Example endorsements:
"I spent Easter weekend at Alison and Graham's home near Fremantle. Their house is very clean and comfortable and only a 10 minute drive to South Beach and the great Fremantle coffee shops, tourist spots and markets. This was my first house swap but the whole process went very well, with both us sorting out details really easily. Alison and Graham looked after my place very well and even put the bins out for me:-) I highly recommend them if you want a responsible and very pleasant couple to swap homes with you. I would be very happy to swap with them again any time they feel like a tree change."
"Alison and Graham's home was the ideal location for our Fremantle holiday. The bus stop was next door to their home. The bus route went along the Cappuccino strip and Fremantle markets onto the Fremantle train and bus station. From there we caught the free buses to visit museums/beaches/shopping. The Rottnest Island cruise departures are near the station too. There is so much to see in Fremantle. The natural bushland park opposite the house was great for a morning or evening walk. The house was clean and tidy and we had our own bathroom. We really enjoyed meeting Alison and Graham prior to our exchange.
