I am an active semi retired widow. Since my husband passed away I sometimes travel alone but prefer to invite a family member or occasionally a friend to join me. I have 3 adult children . One son living on the Sunshine Coast and another son living in Brisbane . My daughter and her family live on a farm near Mt Perry in Qld. When at home I often host people from other countries who come to Australia to learn English. I particularly enjoy cooking, entertaining, beach walks , reading and generally keeping busy with my 7 young grandchildren . I have many friends who I visit regularly which makes non simultaneous exchanges possible.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our neighbourhood is primarily a residential beach location in one of the more sort after areas on the Sunshine Coast. Peregian Beach has a village atmosphere .There are a variety of Restaurants in the Village and people from other areas of the coast travel to enjoy the atmosphere. There are beach walks, national parks to explore, bicycle paths, waves sand and fresh air, and yet close enough to enjoy the buzz of locations which have more entertainment and night life.
The waterways of the Noosa River and Everglades & four wheel driving on the North Shore, a day trip to the Hinterland or an overnight trip to Heritage Listed Fraser Island all provide a change from the ocean and waves.
