Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Now looking for exchange opportunities after internal renovations completed late 2019. Non-simultaneous available.
Palm Cove is a northern beach suburb of Cairns on the Great Barrier Reef. It lies 50km south of Port Douglas and Mossman, the gateway to the World Heritage listed Daintree Rainforest. Palm Cove has a relaxed village atmosphere and my home is an older style duplex, located just 80mtrs from the beach, restaurants and boutiques, adjacent to a protected nature reserve.
Of interest to the traveller would be snorkelling / diving / viewing the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef and islands, hiking the Daintree Rainforest, crocodile spotting in the rivers, all aspects of nature including sighting the endangered cassowary in its habitat and being charmed by the antics of the Ulysses butterfly. Local tourist operators also offer whitewater rafting, hot air ballooning, indigenous cultural experiences, skydiving, parasailing, deep sea fishing and the list goes on. There is local pick up for all activities.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Quiet village atmosphere in the northernmost beach suburb of Cairns. Abundant melaleuca and palm trees create a sanctuary for a variety of birds and butterflies. Absolutely safe to walk around at night and as the apartment is just 100m from restaurants and the waterfront a car is not a necessity. All tour companies pick up locally for your days out and about
