We have a new house situated on a 3/4 acre block, surrounded by farm blocks. All amenities, quiet and peaceful, just the birdsong to wake up to.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Nearest town is Maleny. Elaman Creek is situated in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Approx 45 minutes drive to sunshine coast beaches. Brisbane about 90 mins. drive. Conondale National Forest situated 20 minutes drive with many walks and Andy Goldsworthy sculpture. Maleny, has a great community spirit, with its many cafes and community events and a new 9 hole golf course. Montville draws visitors with its many cafes and quaint shops. Noosa is also close enough to spend a day there, beachside and shopping. The creek flows through our property, joins the
Mary River where the lung fish is to be found. The platypus has also been seen regularly in the creek. Wallabies share our land, and are usually in evidence.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
You do not need to go far before you will encounter wildlife. Birds such as the King parrot, sulphur crested cockatoo's particularly will visit the bird table usually to entertain at breakfast time. The property is situated on a no through road, this makes it perfect for walking and exploring this
peaceful little used lane walking alongside and over the creek. Wellies needed after heavy rain. Some lovely walks on the property, through the rainforest alongside the creek. A hike to the top of waterfall is so worthwhile - if you don't mind walking up hill. Markets abound, the largest and best known at Eumundi. Australia Zoo is about 30 minutes drive as are the Glass House Mountains. Many productions are put on at various times in the year by the Arts Council, as well as the Maleny Singers and Players. Music venues include the UPFront Club and Finbars, both in Maleny - both a particular favourite of ours.
