Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Welcome to our house. This is a family home, complete with the creaks and groans of most 80 + year olds! Despite the lure of a new house we have both agreed that this IS home and with its central position, lovely neighbours and with space to move we now welcome our visitors from around the globe, all in the name of travel and friendship.
The Lamshed home was perfectly located for ease of access to the main driving routes, buses and trains. It is on a quiet dead end street and it has a large private garden with a covered patio which provided a cool oasis to relax. The hosts, Wayne and Viv provided us with all the information we needed to have an enjoyable and relaxing stay in Adelaide. The Lamsheds looked after our home including our cat better than we do.

The Barossa Valley, Adelaide Hills and Southern Vales wine areas are all within easy reach. Beaches are many and extremely accessible, these beachside areas also boast fabulous dining. Kangaroo Island, famed for the wild life, beaches, rock formations, food and wine ought to bee on your must see list! The busy and colourful 140 year old Central Market is a mecca for many South Aussies, with a bounty of fresh fruit and vegetables, bakeries and cafes a true treat for the senses. The Ghan Railway departs Adelaide for a breathtaking visit to Alice Springs and Uluru.
With a Mediterranean Climate and a relaxed way of life consider South Australia, you will not be disappointed.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Clarence Park is a quiet family orientated suburb only 6 kms from the city of Adelaide. Transport to the city centre can be by car, tram or train. The train is at the end of our street so that is most often our preferred city transport, especially if we are going to the theatre or eating out. There is easy access to the beaches with newly developed bicycle tracks but again the tram takes you to the heart of Glenelg. There are a selection of shopping areas within easy reach, restaurants and cafes are close by. In January each year at least one stage of the Tour Down Under cycling event starts from nearby suburbs.
